Meet in Central Park Valley Creek BDescription
A FAFSA application workshop where you'll learn about the FAFSA and more while completing your application! Ideally, we're hoping to use the IRS transfer tool for tax information, but it is recommended to bring your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other forms required to complete the FAFSA (FAFSA website).
During this workshop we cover:
- Navigating the finances of applying to college.
- The most cost-effective route for earning a degree.
- Options available to students applying to college this fall. You and your student can learn about all of the options from community college and the MN transfer curriculum to trade school to what to expect from universities as far as financial support.
- Resources to help your student have the financial literacy they need to graduate with a degree in their field of choice!
This free workshop is for students and families who are filling out the FAFSA forms for the upcoming year. A device such as a laptop is needed for the workshop. The library does have a limited number of devices available to use, please note if a device is needed when registering. Please be sure to register multiple attendees to include for student and any guardians who will be in attendance so we can be sure we have enough seats. Walk-ins are welcome but cannot guarantee devices will be available.
