Are you ready for fun and adventure this summer? Starting in June, Discovery Day Camp is an opportunity for girls and boys grades K through 8 to join in on five full days of fun and learning. Choose from multiple sessions at these three locations: (Base Camp) Fort Snelling, (Phillippo Scout Camp) Cannon Falls, and Stearns Scout Camp (Annandale). Stearns and Phillippo will have a limited number of spots on a transport available for an additional fee. Each day campers will explore exciting activities including swimming, hiking, rock climbing, archery, crafts, outdoor skills, and team games guided by a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff. Discovery Day Camp is run by Northern Star Council, BSA. Who has been providing camping experiences to youth for over 100 years. This day camp is for everyone, not only scouts, so don’t forget to bring a friend, and your adventurous spirit! Available again in 2017 is Adventure Day Camp for Middle School Students with an overnight offered the fourth night of each session! Pricing:
$165 per week. Base camp offers a early drop-off and late pick-up option. Stearns and Phillippo offer transportation options.

Base Camp Description:
Base Camp is located at historic Fort Snelling in what was once the cavalry drill hall. The building is brought to life with opportunities including rock climbing, ropes courses, archery, and team games! Owned and operated by Northern Star Council, BSA, our mission is to serve all youth through field trips, lock-ins, retreats, summer camps, private parties, and community group activities. Stearns Scout Camp Description:
The original 930 acres of camp was purchased from the estate of George C. Crosby in 1966; originally being named Camp Heritage, and officially opened in 1968. Crosby Lodge, now the Campmaster building was donated to camp by the Crosby family. Camp has since grown to 1,200 acres and in 1985 Viking Council changed the name to Camp Stearns. Register Here

Phillippo Scout Camp:

Originally called the Cannon River Scout Reservation, the Phillippo Scout Reservation was renamed in 2000 to recognize Ron Phillippo who served as the Council Scout Executive for 22 years. Since its opening in 1964, Phillippo and its 450 acres of rolling fields, wooded campsites and hills overlooking the Cannon River valley has become a destination camp for Cub camping in Northern Star Council.
