1. ๐ Woodbury Community Expo – Saturday
The 2026 Woodbury Community EXPO is back at M Health Fairview Sports Center from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and it’s one of the biggest free family events in Woodbury, MN! Hosted by the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce, this annual favorite celebrates 17 years of bringing local businesses and the community together. Families can explore 125+ local vendors and organizations, enjoy live entertainment on two stages, and dive into interactive fun for all ages. Kids will love the bounce houses, face painting, science activities, and animal zone, while the Vehicle Fair (hello, fire trucks and police cars!) is always a hit. Add in local food vendors and prize giveaways throughout the day, and you’ve got a can’t-miss community event in Woodbury.
2. ๐ฐ Easter Events – Saturday & Sunday
It’s a week before Easter weekend, and there are tons of Easter events near Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Lake Elmo, and beyond! Families can hop into Easter egg hunts, bunny photo ops, festive brunches, and spring celebrations happening all across the area. 3. ๐๏ธ Small Business Saturday – The Gardner School Lake Elmo – Saturday
Celebrate National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day by shopping small at The Gardner School of Lake Elmo-Woodbury during their indoor market event. This special Small Business Saturday celebration is happening at both the Lake Elmo-Woodbury and Eagan locations, with different local vendors at each school. Families can shop local, meet small business owners, and support amazing entrepreneurs in the community. It’s also a great opportunity to tour the school and connect with educators while enjoying a family-friendly event near Woodbury and Lake Elmo.
4. ๐งต Learning Lab: Sewing – Newport Library – Saturday
Kids and teens in grades K–12 can get creative at Learning Lab: Sewing at Newport Library on March 28 at 1:00 p.m. This hands-on, interactive program introduces youth to hand-sewing, sewing machine basics, and even quilting. It’s a fantastic free library event near Newport and Woodbury for families looking for educational and creative weekend activities. Reservations are helpful but not required, making it easy to drop in and try something new.
5. ๐ฆ Animal Ambassador Meet & Greet – Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center, Hastings – Sunday
Head to Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center in Hastings for a FREE Animal Ambassador Meet & Greet on Sunday! Families can join naturalist Elsa for training sessions and up-close encounters with some of CNC’s amazing animal ambassadors while learning about wildlife care and natural history.
