1. FREE Slime & Mini Golf Saturday – Maplewood Mall
Families can enjoy a hands-on slime-making adventure at Twin City Slime in Maplewood Mall, where kids can make, mix, pull, and create slime for free all day! Adding to the fun, Big Top Putt Putt is joining in on the fun with FREE putt-putt golf for all ages.
2 Play N’ Pray – Woodbury Lutheran Church - Friday
Caregivers and children birth to 5 years are invited to join the Play N’ Pray Winter Session, a 9-week program full of creative crafts, engaging activities, sing-alongs, and Bible lessons from the Frolic Preschool curriculum. Drop-in is available 9:30–10:30 AM for $10 per child, offering a fun, faith-based way to connect and grow together.
3. The Gardner School of Lake Elmo-Woodbury Sunrise Storytelling - Saturday
Little ones 6 weeks to 5 years and their families can start the morning with TGS Sunrise Storytime, featuring storytellers, crafts, and interactive activities from 9–11 AM. This special program celebrates the joy of reading and creativity.
4. Creatures of the Night - Afton State Park - Saturday
Explore Minnesota’s nocturnal wildlife at this family-friendly naturalist program. The evening begins indoors with a presentation about nighttime animals, their behaviors, and adaptations. Afterward, participants enjoy a short guided walk near the Visitor Center to observe local wildlife—don’t forget a flashlight or headlamp! Free with a vehicle pass.
5. Leprechaun Hunt - River Falls, WI (March 1st - 14th)
Families can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the River Falls Business Leaders Leprechaun Hunt, searching for over 50 hidden leprechauns across the town. Participants who find at least 30 leprechauns can enter for prizes, while those who discover all 50 are eligible for the grand prize. Completed entry forms are turned in at Veterans Park on Saturday, March 14, 12–4 PM, with the prize drawing at 4:30 PM. This community event encourages exploration, family fun, and local business engagement, with prizes totaling $1,000. Or you can just do it for fun!
