1. Pajama Ball - The Grove Woodbury - Friday
Slip into your coziest pajamas and head to The Grove in Woodbury for the fourth annual Pajama Ball on Friday, February 20, from 6–8 PM. This free, family-friendly evening features music, dancing, fun activities for all ages, and photo opportunities with princesses and superheroes. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission is free, but registration is requested to help organizers plan supplies. Guests are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to support local families in need.
2. Family Night - Hastings YMCA - Friday
Families with elementary-aged children can enjoy a free Family Pizza & Literacy Night at the Hastings YMCA. Pizza will be served from 6:00–6:30 PM, followed by hands-on literacy and nature activities inspired by We Are Water Protectors. Educators from Carpenter Nature Center will lead engaging activities that blend reading, environmental education, and family fun. This free event is open to all families—no YMCA membership or registration required.
3. Egg to Omelet - Shepard Farm Cottage Grove - Saturday
Kids ages 7–12 can experience a hands-on farm-to-table adventure at Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove. Participants will meet the chickens, complete a creative egg protection challenge, and gather fresh eggs before heading to the kitchen to cook their own farm-fresh omelet. This interactive program combines agriculture education, STEM learning, and beginner cooking skills in one engaging experience. Registration Required. $8/child.
4. Mardi Gras/Chinese New Year Celebration - Newport Library - Tuesday
Celebrate two vibrant traditions in one festive event at Newport Library. Since Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras fall on the same day this year, families can stop by for themed snacks, crafts, and activities while learning about the Year of the Horse, Carnival customs, and Mardi Gras traditions. It’s a fun and educational cultural celebration for all ages.
5. Kids & Family Fair at Loft 214 - Stillwater Winterfest - Saturday
Head to Loft 214 in Stillwater on Saturday, February 21, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for the Kids & Family Fair, part of the Stillwater Winterfest celebration. Families can enjoy face painting, balloon art, bracelet making, hands-on activities, a hot chocolate bar, and food options. Designed for kids of all ages, this lively event offers the perfect mix of quick crafts and immersive fun for a winter weekend outing.
