Get Up & Go! Spring into Action with the Healthy Kids Running Series

Fun weekly races for kids of all ages

February 12, 2026

Looking for a positive, low-pressure way to help your kids stay active this spring? The Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS) Spring Series is a family-favorite youth running program designed to help kids have fun, build confidence, and develop healthy habits—no matter their running experience.

This five-week spring program is open to children Pre-K through 8th grade and meets once a week, making it easy to fit into busy family schedules.

What Kids Can Expect Each Week

Every week, kids line up with their age group and take part in races designed just for them. Distances vary by age and ability so everyone feels successful:

πŸƒ 50- and 75-yard dashes for younger runners
πŸƒ ¼-mile, ½-mile, and 1-mile runs for older kids
πŸƒ Points earned for every race completed
(Pre-K races are non-competitive and will not include scoring or results)

The focus is always on effort, participation, and fun.
