1. Celebrate Veterans Day - Tuesday
Veterans Day is a special time to pause and reflect on the brave men and women who have served our country. It’s the perfect opportunity to teach children about service, courage, and gratitude while making meaningful family memories.
A ceremony will be held at the Woodbury Veterans Memorial at 11:00 AM. In case of rain, the ceremony will move to City Hall.

2. Beekeeping Exploration - Wednesday
Discover the fascinating world of pollinators with Andy Weaver, former Stillwater Area High School biology and environmental science teacher, and Naturalist-in-Residence at Stillwater and Bayport Public Libraries. This indoor program is perfect for children ages 8 and up and their adults at Bayport Library. In this fourth of five sessions, families will explore the art and science of beekeeping, learning how bees support the St. Croix River Valley ecosystem. This hands-on experience inspires curiosity, environmental stewardship, and appreciation for nature’s tiniest heroes. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED
3. Learn How to Sew a Tote Bag - Saturday
Kids ages 10–14 can join a hands-on sewing class at Park Grove Library. Even beginners who don’t own a sewing machine will learn the basics—from threading the machine to practicing straight stitching—while creating their very own tote bag. All materials, including sewing machines and fabric, are provided. Registration is required for this fun, educational, and creative family activity.
4. Mix a Custom Seed Blend: Junco Edition - Saturday
Stop by Wild Birds Unlimited in Woodbury to mix your own bird seed blend, specially crafted for Dark-eyed Juncos—the Bird of the Month! For just $3 per bag, families can handcraft a custom mix to attract these charming winter birds. This interactive, educational activity is perfect for kids and adults, offering a fun way to celebrate the season while supporting local wildlife.
5. Preschool Storytime Series: Pigeon Party - Friday
Families with children ages 2–5 are invited to the Minnesota Campus Preschool Storytime at Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center in Hastings.
