1. Pumpkin Chuck & Composting Fun
Still have leftover pumpkins? Cottage Grove’s annual Pumpkin Chuck lets kids and families roll, toss, or jump pumpkins down the hill at Oakwood Park this Tuesday at 2:30 PM. Can’t make it? Washington County has several pumpkin compost drop-off sites open through November 10. Make sure pumpkins are free of glitter, paint, wax, and candles. Check the county website for locations.
2. Bayport Library Lego Club
Kids and families can get creative at Bayport Library’s first Lego Club meeting this Monday at 5 PM. Meet other young builders, share ideas, and let your imagination run wild in this fun, community-focused event.
3. Nocturnal Animals at Lake Elmo Park Reserve
Join Washington County Parks and Carpenter Nature Center on Friday, November 7, from 6-8 PM at Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park to explore nocturnal wildlife. See live animals, learn about their nighttime adaptations, and enjoy a cozy bonfire afterward. $3 per person, children 6 and under free. A vehicle permit is required ($7 daily or $30 annually).
4. Lego Build at Barnes & Noble - Woodbury
Don’t miss the holiday Lego build event at Barnes & Noble this Saturday at 2 PM. Call ahead or stop by to reserve your spot. Registered participants must pick up their build during the event; any leftover sets will be given away.
