Raising Bookworms With the Help of Kellogg’s Feeding Reading Program

By Emily Bowman, SE Metro Macaroni Kid Publisher September 10, 2020

I have been compensated for this promotion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As a kid, I loved reading. You’d catch me at home reading, curled up with a book. I’d even bring a book when I tagged along with my parents to do errands. I loved going to the library each week to check out books.  But, there was something special about a brand new book.  The “newness” of the book, the un-creased pages, and knowing I’d be reading something new.  I’m a self- proclaimed bookworm!

I hope to pass along my love of learning to my kids. That’s why when we heard about the Kellogg’s Feeding Reading program, it was a great opportunity to build our family library. By purchasing participating Kellogg’s products, like Eggo Waffles, you can get free books for your home library. One box = 1 book. How cool is that?!  After purchasing the participating Kellogg’s product, head over to the FeedingReading.com, upload your receipt, pick out your book and you are all set!

You can redeem up to 10 free books from a list of more than 125 Penguin Random House Books, with a variety of books ranging in themes & reading levels - books for your preschooler to your high schooler. The hardest part was choosing which book to redeem! One of my kids picked out a book from a book series he loves. My other kiddo picked out a book he had always wanted to read. An extra bonus was waiting for our book to arrive. What kid doesn’t love getting mail? It was fun to see my kids excited about their new books, anticipating their arrival.

Learn more by visiting FeedingReading.com. Purchase participating Kellogg’s products now until September 30 and redeem by December 1st to get your free books. With the opportunity to redeem up to 10 books, you can build your own home library for your own bookworms. Another great idea is to donate the books to your local school to build their reading libraries. Share the love of reading!

Kellogg's Feeding Reading program is a great way to encourage reading at home and throughout the school year. Reading new books keeps reading fun and engaging. I love that I can share my love of reading with my own kids, while purchasing our favorite Kellogg’s products. As an adult, I’m still an avid reader and I hope my kids continue to love reading into adulthood as well. The Kellogg’s Feeding Reading program is a fun and cool way to get readers excited about reading. And, possibly raise your own bookworms! Learn more at FeedingReading.com
