ZURU Toys recently sent us a few play sets of their new toy, Hamsters in a House, to play with and review for our Macaroni Kid Summer Fun Party. Let me tell you, the toys were a HUGE hit at our party! All the kids wanted to play with them. Hamsters in a House are small, adorable, fuzzy Hamster toys that scurry and zoom around in a variety of different play sets. 
Each furry Hamster is battery operated, which kids can easily turn on or off. There are many cute Hamsters to choose from, from different sizes and colors. Each Hamster even has its own name! And, most fun of all is that there are cute accessories, such as a little car to get around and brushes and mirrors. Your kids can even build their own Hamster world by purchasing the variety of sets that include Hamster houses, and a Hamster Super Market. The play sets and accessories range from about $9.99 to $29.99.
We were sent a SuperMarket track set and the Little Hamster House set to play with and review. The SuperMarket includes a shopping cart, which the Hamsters push around and little fruit that drops down from the Supermarket. The Little Hamster House comes with track pieces that can be configured, and the Hamsters can race around.
At our Summer Fun Party, we had kids from 1 y.o. to up to 10 y.o. The recommended age for the toys is ages 4 and up. But, all the kids seemed to be drawn to the Hamsters and enjoyed playing with them. They liked re-configuring and taking apart the tracks to make new scenes. They had the Hamsters race around the tracks. And, equally, both the girls and the boys had fun playing with them. It kept my two busy boys (7 y.o. and 4 y.o.) quite entertained! My 4 y.o. is very much into stuffed animals and “pets” as he calls them. He loved pretending the Hamsters were his pets, and feed them and had them race on the tracks. Such a fun toy to stir his imagination!
I would definitely recommend ZURU’s Hamsters in a House. Kids of all ages loved them, it helps with their creative play and keeps them entertained!
